Chosen Slovenian recipes


ALL THE RECIPES SLOVENIAN STUDENTS HAVE COLLECTED AND PREPARED

1ST class:
Students from 1st class have made a delicious and helthy snack. They have made two spreads: cottage cheese and tuna spread.

COTTAGE CHEESE SPREAD WITH CARROT   
                        (for 4 people)   
INGREDIENTS:
Ø 40 g butter
Ø 200 g cottage cheese
Ø 2 spoons of sour cream
Ø A carrot
Ø salt (optional)
Ø 100 g rye bread
PREPARATION:
Mash butter and cottage cheese, add sour cream, a pinch of salt and a grated carrot. Mix well.
Spread on rye bread and sprinkle with grated carrot.   
                 






TUNA SPREAD 
                        (for 4 people)       
INGREDIENTS:
Ø 180 g tuna Rio Mare
Ø 1 garlic clove
Ø A pinch of chopped parsley
Ø A tbsp of sour cream
Ø 1 tomato
Ø 100 g wholemeal bread
PREPARATION:
Pour away the olive oil from tuna, put tuna in a bowl and mash. Then add chopped garlic and parsley and mix well. Add sour cream and mix until smooth.                                                                                                                     Spread it on wholemeal bread and put a slice of fresh tomato on top.











2ND CLASS
Ingredients (for 1 person):
-2dl hot milk
-about 5 spoons mueslis
-1 big spoon of honey
-1 fresh carrot
-1 banana

You can choose to add dry fruit

Preparation:
Pour the hot milk in a cup. Add muesli, a big spoon of honey, grated carrot and banana cut into slices. Mix all together. You can freely change the quantity of ingredients.











3rd CLASS
a fruit salad and the fruit basket.

Ingredients:

-7 bananas
-5 pears
-4 apples
-3 oranges
-2 melons
-3 low fat plain yoghurt
-honey

Preparation:

Peel the bananas and cut them into small dices. Peel the apples, oranges, a melon and a pear, clean the pits and cut them into small pieces.

Mix all the ingredients thoroughly, add yoghurt and gently stir.
Take the other melon and make a small basket. Put the fruit salad into the melon basket.

Pour  pre-heated honey over the fruit salad and serve.





4th class

1.     Fruit pancakes:

Ingredients:
-flour
-milk
-eggs
-fruit
-sugar
-oil
-salt

Preparation:
Sift together milk, sugar, eggs and salt. Add flour and stir until smooth. Cook in a hot, greased pan. Cook until lightly brown and then turn over and brown the other side. Put the desired fruit on top and serve.









2.     Fruit salad:

Ingredients:
-different fruit
-fruit yogurt

Preparation:
Cut fruit into thin pieces and mix well. Put it into bowls and pour over the fruit yoghurt.

3.     Salad:
Ingredients:
-green and red lettuce
-carrot
-lemon
-sprouted wheat
-olive oil

Preparation:

Wash the lettuce, then cut into small pieces. Peel the carrots and grate them over the salad. Then acidify with lemon, add olive oil and sprinkle with sprouts.





4. Sushi:
Ingredients:
-dried algae
-cooked rice
-canned tuna
-red, yellow and green peppers

Preparation:
Spread the rice on the algae. Add tuna and the peppers on it. Roll and cut into slices. Serve on a plate. Good Appetite!

On dry seaweed spread as far as possible sticky cooked rice. Place the tuna on it and all kinds of peppers. Then the whole roll and cut into slices. Served on a platter and serve. Good appetite!












5TH CLASS
                                              PIZZA
INGREDIENTS:                               
Ø flour                                                       
Ø eggs
Ø yeast
Ø salt
Ø water
Ø oil
Ø ketchup
Ø cheese
Ø corn
Ø mushrooms
Ø tomato
Ø peppers
Ø spices
PREPARATION:
Put 30 dag of flour in a bowl. Put one egg in another bowl and mix with spoon. Do the same with yeast. Then add heated water and put everything in the first bowl. Then add a pinch of salt and a half spoon of oil. Stir and leave it for 45 minutes to rise. Put 3 spoons of oil in a baking tray. Stretch the dough. Put ketchup, cold water and mix with a spoon. Spread the ketchup over the dough, add corn, mushrooms and grated cheese. If you want you can add some spices. Put the baking tray in the oven at 220°C and it's done in 15 minutes.


7th CLASS  
CHICKEN STEAKS IN CREAM SOUCE
INGREDIENTS:
Ø chicken fillet
Ø 1 slice of  butter
Ø salt, pepper
Ø nutmeg
Ø rosemary
Ø 1 sweet cream
PREPARATION:
Cut the white meat into small cubes or stripes, season them with salt and pepper. Heat some butter in a pan, add meat and fry it well. Meat turns gold-yelow! Lower the temparature and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well and leave covered for 5 minutes. Regularly stir. Add the sweet cream and let it simmer.












  CORN CRESCENTS:
INGREDIENTS:
Ø 60 ml milk
Ø  salt
Ø  200 g corn meal
Ø 2 eggs
Ø 40 g parmezan
Ø nutmeg
Ø 40 g butter
Ø 15 g butter
Ø Pepper
Ø 60g chopped herbs (parsley, rosemary, basil)

PREPARATION:
Salt the milk, boil it and add corn meal and cook it for 2 minutes. Remove from the cooker and cool it. Add eggs, parmezan and nutmeg. Put half of the mass on the baking tray and spread ½ cm thick and sprinkle with chopped herbs and garlic. Cover with the  other half of mass and prime with melted butter.

                                                                Bon appetite!!
              





  STEAMED VEGETABLES
INGREDIENTS:
Ø A marrow
Ø broccoli
Ø  a carrot

PREPARATION:
At first wash the vegetables. Peel and cut it into pieces. Put in the steaming pot. When the vegetable is soft, but does not crumble remove it. Take it from the pot and use it as a side dish.
















                 DANDELION WITH EGGS
INGREDIENTS:
Ø 4 cups of dandelion
Ø 2 eggs
Ø Lettuce (optional)
Ø oil
Ø vinegar
Ø salt


PREPARATION:
Clean the dandelion, wash it well and cut it. Put eggs in pot and add water to cover the eggs. Cook them on moderate heat for 10-15 minutes.  Peel them and slice them on the dandelion. Add a little bit of lettuce. Add oil, vinegar and salt. Mix thoroughly and the salad is done!











                FRESH FRUIT JUICE

INGREDIENTS:
Ø 1 banana
Ø 1 orange
Ø ¼ pineapple
Ø ½ grapefruit
Ø ½ lemon
Ø cinnamon

PREPARATION:
Wash the lemon, orange and grapefruit. Peel the banana and cut it into pieces. Peel the pineapple, remove the core and cut it into pieces. Cut the orange, grapefruit and lemon into  halfs. Squeeze  their juice and pour it into mixer and add banana and pineapple. Mix well and add cinnamon for the  taste. Pour the  juice into glasses and decorate with lemon zest.
